Yr 11 House Matches

The Year 11 house matches are rearranged due to the freakish weather on Thurs 18th Jan to the following Thursday 25th.

1st XI Training

All 1st XI / 2nd XI and U16players are encouraged to attend indoor training on Fridays in the sports hall. The competitive nature of indoor hockey enables the players to develop their basic skills, team play, and passing aswell as your fitness. The use of the Multi gym is also available boys. See you Friday.

17th Jan v Kings Chester

3 v 2 Win

There was an element of de-ja vu on Wed as i dont think we were in control of the ball as Kings Chester took an very early lead following a slick move. The Kings side who had defeated Wirral before Christmas started well, but as the first half progressed, Wirral started to get a strong hold upon the match. Strong performances from Steadman, Drew and Oldham ensured that attacks were broken down and created. A goal from Mark Harries and Mike Taylor from a stroke ensured that Wirral got 2-1 infront and a Craig Graves goal ensured that Wirral got a well deserved win!!

10th Jan v Kings Macclesfield

3 v 1 Lost

This was a game all about the 2nd half for Wirral. The less said about the 1st half the better. A good individual goal from Luke Jarmay ensured that the boys came away from the game feeling better. Impressive games for Stuart Murray and Sam Harvey playing for Kings i might add was a plus for the day.

Wednesday 3rd January

All 1st and 2nd XI hockey players, ensure that you go to the meeting about 6th form option changes, then meet in the Gymnasium for a meeting, run and games indoor.
All players must attend even without kit!!
