U14 v St Anselms (Oval)

Wirral 0 - 3 St Anselms

A good competitive game in which the year 9 team picked up new skills and game experience! A good start to the game with a Wirral side with many changes and boys making their school debuts. The boys had to ensure that they made sure they passed the ball wide and down the right and left sides. This was another really encouraging performance by the boys and with 19 boys playing a part in the game there is experience to be gained.

Well Done boys

U16's v Merchant Taylors

Wirral U16 0 - 3 Merchant Taylors

Wed 18th October

The Wirral U16 team played a talented Merchant Taylor side as always and with a few players missing Wirral made a sturling effort against Merchants. The boys have progressed and developed this year and had chances to score a few goals.

What a result!! V Merchant Taylors

Wirral GS 1st XI 4 v 1 Merchant Taylors

What a win!! This is what we are all about. Quick passing! Attacking play! Calm Finishing and Solid Defending!!

This approach and attitude is the way forward fellas!

Mr Coopers Report

After some soul-searching amongst the 1stXI Hockey Squad, the response was superb to produce the best performance and result of the season. Playing fluent, composed and firey hockey all players made excellent contributions. Excellent approach play and profound defending provided the platform for goals from Graves, Drew, Taylor and Steadman. Well Done everyone!!

U14 V Neston

Wirral 0 - 0 Neston

This was the 2nd game of the U14 teams career and what an excellent defensive performance. The boys ensured that they worked well together throughout the game. Short passing, good defending and critical saves by David Johnstone was a solid base throughout the game.

There were good performances by all boys in particular from Max Eastwood, Peter Clegg, Johnny Williams and Mike Bowen. Well done to all boys as the first result is the most important! We just need to begin to work on attacking and creating chances.
